About Us

Ford Builders specializes in custom homes in the James City County and Williamsburg area of Virginia. The management team here at Ford Builders has over 50 years of combined experience in the construction industry and a proven track record of providing customer satisfaction. Our home building is based on two premises: superior quality and superior service. Here is a quick glance at our team.

Z. Ford IV: Z. Ford IV has been building homes with Ford Builders and alongside his father for the last 20 years. He grew up the son of a carpenter/builder and continues that tradition along with his brother, Rob. Z oversees everything in the field to ensure things stay on task, on schedule and on budget.
Nick Turner: Nick Turner, a graduate of the Business Program at Virginia Tech, oversees all aspects of the business side, including point of contact for all of our clients. You can think of him as the face of the company. Upon joining the Ford Builders team, he completed a program through the National Association of Homebuilders, and received a certification as a “Certified Graduate Builder”.; Nick is a member of the Executive Committee of the Williamsburg Custom Builder's Association.
Rob Ford: Rob has been involved in construction in one aspect or another for over 10 years now. Whether it was framing houses, remodeling, or finish carpentry work, his varied experience provides him with the knowledge to be an excellent project manager. Think of him as our “quality control” one-man team, making sure everything on your house meets our strict quality guidelines.
Mark Beazley: Mark, much like Rob, is something of a jack-of-all-trades. Throughout college, he framed houses and spent a lot of time on a construction site. After he graduated from Old Dominion University, he decided to continue the use of his talents on the jobsite. Another one of our “quality control” one-man teams, he works a lot on the jobsite with Rob ensuring everything is built to ours (and yours) satisfaction.
Hope Harrell: The newest addition to our team, Hope works as our client liason. With over 5 years experience in the medical field as a nurse, and over 3 years experience as an office manager, Hope is no stranger to high demand situations. Hope's main job is making sure scheduling is done properly, but her second position of keeping all the men in line probably takes up more of her time than anything.
Z. Ford III: Z. Ford III, father to Buddy and Rob, has been in the construction industry ever since he went to Clemson for Architecture. He decided he would rather build and design than just design. Semi retired now, he is back in the field doing what he loves most - working with his hands. There are always odds and ends left over for him to work on in all of our houses. His level of expertise on the job is indispensable, and we continue to fight his retirement.
Jim Quattrocelli: Jim, a recent transplant from New England, works as a lead man on the remodeling/addition side of Ford Builders. Jim brings a variety of experience to the table and is indispensable in regards to creative solutions in our remodeling projects.
